Junebug is a dream ten years in the making, now brought to life. I founded this business with a vision to create a welcoming space in a city where many places for creatives often feel exclusive. My passion for coffee—its aroma, taste, warmth, and its power to bring people together—has driven me from the start. Knowing I wanted to open a coffee shop back in high school, I embarked on this journey that celebrates artistry and community, as well as all the glowing aspects the coffee industry has to offer—starting at our roots.

 

I consider myself an artist and a free spirit, marching to the beat of my own drum. This unique approach has shaped Junebug Coffee into a beautifully distinct business. Going against the grain of traditional methods, I gained hands-on experience from skilled coffee professionals across Texas as well as from the artists I encounter in each of us everyday. With nearly a decade of expertise in specialty coffee, I’m excited to be bringing this dream space into being at The Art Room. Our residency at 2324 Studio in East Austin. The joy I find in connecting with people and preparing for them an exceptional cup of coffee, is immeasurable.

 

As a lifelong lover of the arts, I work in various mediums, including painting, embroidery, graphic design, digital illustration, photography and as a barista. My time at the University of Houston, where I studied Fine Art Photography, allowed me to find my artistic voice and understand the profound impact art has on people's lives. Alongside my coffee career, I was also privileged to work as a digital creator for small businesses like Junebug, infusing art into every aspect of my work thus far. 

 

Junebug Coffee is truly a personal life project that reflects my multifaceted nature—an artistic haven, a community hub, and a place where art and coffee converge. I’ve always imagined this space where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the vibrant colors of local artwork, where every cup tells a story, and every corner invites creativity. 

 

My journey to create Junebug has been a delightful adventure, filled with hands-on learning, artistic exploration, and the joy of community building. Whether you're an artist seeking a cozy spot to create your next masterpiece, a coffee enthusiast craving that perfect cup, or a community member looking for a place to connect, Junebug Coffee is designed for you.
